It's wednesday boys and girls which , of course ,means the week is half over . It's been a pretty good week for me so far . Nothing to exciting excpet my friends and I going out this past monday for "Cinco de Mayo " . "Cinco de Mayo (Spanish for "5th of May") is a regional holiday in Mexico, primarily celebrated in the state of Puebla. It is not an obligatory federal holiday. The holiday commemorates an initial victory of Mexican forces led by General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguín over French forces in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. The date is observed in the United States and other locations around the world as a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride. A common misconception in the United States is that Cinco de Mayo is Mexico's Independence day; Mexico's Independence Day is actually September 16 (dieciséis de septiembre in Spanish), which is the most important national patriotic holiday in Mexico." It's a big day in Los Angeles cause of the huge Mexican population . Even allot of non Mexicans celebrate this day cause it's a great excuse to go out and get wasted ! lol Thats at least what we did this past moday . We started out with Margaritas at "Fiesta Cantina" in West Hollywood and went to "The Troubadour" after . They had some cool bands playing but to be honest with you , it was all a big blur cause we got pretty trashed .
